Mr. Mohlomi Moloi joined HISP-SA in Nov 2016 as a data manager and has since expanded his knowledge and experience to a data analyst. As a data analyst for HISP SA his responsibilities include management of various databases i.e. ICSP Online system, the system was developed to help manage the internship and community service programme so that the application and allocation of posts is fair and equitable. He is currently working on development of an eIDSR and Event Management System to strengthen countries capacity for early detection of public health threats and media scanning. This involves customising existing DHIS2 instance eIDSR, EBS tracker app. Set up Programs, Program Rules and Program Indicators. Mine and analyse large datasets, draw valid inferences, and present them successfully to management using BI reporting tool(s). He has over 15 years of experience in data management and analytics of different data sets. He started his career as a database administrator at the Africa Centre for Health and Population Studies. In February 2014 he joined National Health Laboratory Services (NHLS) as a data analyst for the Centre for Tuberculosis. Mr. Moloi has completed several short courses focusing on administering MS SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 R2 (DTS, SSIS & SSRS), Python, SAS (Prog 1&2), STATA, Power BI, Super Set, DataFax, REDCap, TELEform Manager, Introduction GIS applications (including Arc Editor 9.3), Project Management, Postman API calls, Performance Management, Leadership Training and Development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). He was responsible for managing the TB Unit's data management activities at NHLS. As a data manager, he provided data management support to the projects to ensure that their research data is processed and managed efficiently according to the data management policy and standard operating procedures and analytical datasets are ready for analysis when required. He served on the Primavera and Prism National User Group at Eskom. He was also driving the relevant integration points with the SAP module and improving access to data in Eskom Project Management Office (PMO), System and Data. He has also been responsible for creating and populating a MySQL and PostgreSQL database for the PEPFAR/South Africa Data Warehouse at John Snow Inc., (JSI). Mr Moloi has been responsible for obtaining, capturing and entering partner and site information for all the PEPFAR partner organisations into PIMS system. This database, running alongside the data warehouse, provides added analysis and presentation dimensions for the site information, captured by individual partners, where the PEPFAR is carried out in South Africa. Mr. Moloi's database, GIS and reporting knowledge were key components in creating this feature of the PEPFAR Data Warehouse.
