Conduct background studies and determine the scope of investigations
Perform data analysis and conclude appropriately about these
Conduct investigations with a view to prove elements of particular crime or to identify billing / coding problems or to identify waste or abuse of medical scheme benefits
Conduct investigations according to established standards and applicable legislation
Liaise with external parties as necessary during investigations
Liaise with other departments as necessary during investigations
Visit premises and question/interview witnesses and suspects and obtain affidavits
Recommend reversal of claims and recovery of benefits from members/service provider
Make appropriate conclusions in light of available evidence and recommend appropriate action to be taken against perpetrators
Document investigations fully in an organized and logical fashion and prepare comprehensive, explanatory investigation reports
Follow-up outstanding tasks and activities
Use investigation time productively and complete required investigations by established deadlines
Ensure high quality forensic work is delivered
Ensure confidential handling of any information
