• Coming in as the first dentist in the institution, I needed to establish a foundation for the department as a whole
• Co-ordinate and monitor the provision of Oral Health Services
• Ensure the promotion of Oral Health
• Ensure quality assurance on Oral Health Services
• Develop and implement Standard operating Procedures, guidelines, protocols and business plans
• Manage subordinates-I had a team comprising of 2 dental assistants and a community service dentist
• Manage resources (Finances, equipment and stores)

• Occasionally chair BLUC meetings
• Occasionally sit on interview panels
