A born creative and patron of the arts. I have worked in radio for 25 years. I started as a presenter at Voice Of Wits campus radio, and went on to present traffic on YFM's Afternoon Drive show alongside DJ Fresh.
I took a hiatus and completed a diploma in Copywriting at Vega.
Upon completion I was hired to work as Metro FM's sole Copywriter where, together with the station sound engineer, I was responsible for the sound of the station, as well as bringing life to on-air promotions, and a monthly newsletter.
My work at Primedia Broadcasting included, amongst other things, matching sponsors to resonant causes for Christmas Wish 2007/8. My biggest achievement was securing R1million in funding towards the healthcare, including a liver transplant, of a child born with a congenital disease affecting the liver, called Biliary Artresia.
At MediaHeads 360, I was part of the team that founded and conseptualised the award-winning drama, Iketsetse Zenzele, which continues to play on many radio stations across the country. This led to even more work in drama, producing and managing each project.
At Mediamark I have worked on many successful campaigns which have made Mediamark the choice agency when it comes to creative ideation and execution. These include successes with Netflix and McDonald's. What makes me do well at my job is my curiosity and my consistent pursuit of knowledge, and excellence. Curiosity, and thinking out of the box are my strengths.
