  • To provide Technical Assistance aimed at strengthening the Department of Health’s data management, M&E and health information systems in Right to Care - supported facilities, to enable routine tracking, dissemination and usage of priority information relating to HIV/TB services, according to Data Quality purpose. The public health systems in Right to care- supported facilities has adequate M&E capacity to measure and share its HIV/TB-related programmatic achievements, in order to ensure accountability, facilitate planning, and strengthen programs. I also oversee that all Data captures have usernames and access to tier.net and are able to capture on tier.net, present data reviews for facilities to see if they are meeting targets or below targets and which indicators need immediate attention and implementation I am also responsible for Data related Audits. I have supported 25 facilities and made sure that all those facilities are known for sharing best practices and I make sure that I cover all indicators and make sure non are on Red as aim is that they must all be on green TB/HIV care needs a dedicated person that’s who I am and make sure I cover all TB/HIV care indicators. I generate lists and give direction on how to work on TB Prev, TB Stat, TB ART, TPT and TB patients having outcomes then consolidate a report to reflect performance per facility.

  • Duties
  • Sub-District support on all indicators to improve the Sub-Districts performance. Quality improvement plan to be rolled out to DQMs to implement in facilities with close monitoring and development of reporting tools.
  • Performed data analysis to represent facility output and performance to promote timely improvement of programme monitoring, reporting and implementation is done well to share with the organisation and supporting partner which is DOH Mbombela.
  • Assisted and supported training of Data Captures for both RTC, DOH and other NGO's on procedures and best processes for organisation and database usage and enabling them the appropriate technical competencies to be productive in an agile workplace. Presentation skills of Data team being able to speak to the data when presenting and convert it to simple terms to a clinical person.
  • In this position I held both DQM and M&E Officer and making sure data was still of quality and deadlines for both positions are meet. Ability to be able to narrate for any data related queries/questions for the sub-district in all relevant meetings.
  • Prepare/project data done by the Sub-District on how they have performed and how to reach given targets and develop QIP this presentation is done in three levels Facility, Sub-District and District meeting with USAID delegates.
  • During my full employment as M&E I was part of both Sub-District and District meetings and took lead in meetings by presenting Data based on the performance of the Sub-District. Conducted facility reviews and sub-district reviews and did in-service training on Tier.net for Data captures of both DOH and supporting partners.
  • I have also designed few implementing systems and data collection tools to simplify the work for DSD staff and OPM’s along with other senior managers. Had good collaboration with other supporting partners and DOH.

  • I was a District Data Capture and was accountable for submitting Data for all sub-districts that were reporting to my district and Capture patient data to Rightmax and scan both Concern form and follow-up forms at the end of the month would compile a report to present to all Sub-districts on the performance do data verification and send forms with errors back to facility for them to be fixed and sent back to me and always made sure I don't submit to head office if there are errors. Compile run charts for the Sub-district, so they can reflect to their performance. I also assisted in training of admin clerks on how to capture patient data to Rightmax and submission of facility reports.

  • Provide tracking and tracing of patients who have defaulted and who need to be started ART and TB and call them back to care and I am their focal contact person, when they come to the clinic I have taken them to DSD Nurse, so the patient can be get access to treatment and retain in Care. I assist in Capturing of patient data when the Facility Data Capture is not around and do data verification. Make sure that patients stay in care and when they have defaulted must do Adherence counselling to make them understand the importance of retaining in care. I was more of a social partner to clients that don't see the importance of starting they treatment or importance of not becoming resistant.
