  • My function as a procurement planner and Sales Analyst for Goldenmarc is to ensure that efficient and cost effective business solutions and processes are in place, to address business needs and requirements, to ensure that stock holdings and sales are monitored and analysed and that measures are put in place to move slow/dead stock. The role facilitates effective and competitive business processes by analysing, validating and documenting sales and business trends and requirements. My role acts as a bridge between the suppliers, buyers & customers.
  • My responsibilities:
  • Purchasing and planning on Private Label and own brand for retailers on Table Top, Electronics, Cell phones and building industry
  • Place purchase orders with overseas suppliers for the procurement of private label and own brand as required by forecast.
  • Monitor status of open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of stock, including timely resolution, communication and mitigation of future potential problems.

  • I held the position of procurement planner for MIC where I control the OTB, inventory and shipping of all merchandise for the buyers. My portfolio is only for international procurement from Europe and the Far East with a budget of ±R25 million per month and a category portfolio in excess of 8000 sku’s

  • Maintaining and managing the OTB. Working within a budget framework to ensure correct product selection and adequate cash flows.

  • In May 2003 we merged with a UK company and changed our name to Flamingo Flowers.
