Key Responsibilities

Position – onsite Auto Electrician at New Denmark Colliery, ANGLLO-AMERICAN

• Fault finding and repair of New Denmark coal mine underground vehicles that include Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, Isuzu.
• Preventative maintenance of Underground Trackless Mining Machines [TMMs] e.g. LHD Scoopers, Bolsters, LDVs, and TDVs
• Adding ancillary circuits to mine vehicles e.g., flashing lights, reverse buzzers and RealTime.
• Repair common rail systems, electronic control modules, injectors and pumps.
• Filling in job cards.

Position – auto electrician attending breakdowns and standby for ASTRAL HOLDINGS, EARLY BIRD FARMS

• Repairing tractors, forklifts [COMBILIFT], front end loaders [DEZZI], tlbs and trucks, HINO 300, 700 and MERCEDES ACTROSS, egg trailers and skyjacks for a radius of 100km around STANDERTON.

Position – onsite auto electrician at ESKOM TUTUKA POWER STATION for scheduled maintenance.

• Service and maintenance of standby generators, water pumps and compressors. MITSUBISH V16 DIESEL GENERATORS, CATERPILLAR DIESEL WATER PUMPS, DEUTZ V12 DIESEL COMPRESSORS.
• Familiarizing with generator control panels e.g. DEEP SEA, I LOGIC, VISA GARD, HOODWARD, KIPOR and INTELILITE

Key Responsibilities

• Fault finding and repair of plant machinery including dozers, tlb’s, excavators and skid steer
• Attending breakdowns on site and various mines in Witbank and Ogies
• Preventative maintenance of all machines and trucks
• Conversions of truck tractors into tippers and water tankers
• Ordering parts
• Adding ancillary circuits to make the machines mine ready
• Housekeeping
