  • All tasks done as prescribed by Mercedes Benz commercial.
  • Tasks includes major and minor repairs, clutch, prop shaft, and all other parts that require replacement or repair.
  • Major service included:
    1. Drain and replace engine oil.
    2. Drain and replace gearbox transmission oil.
    3. Diff oil drainage and replacement.
    4. Remove radiator and send in for cleaning, then put back with new antifreeze.
    5. Intercooler, which was taken out along with radiator, cleaning with gasoline internally.
    6. All filters replaced such as diesel/water trap filter, air filter and oil filter as well as air dryer filter.
    7. Rims of wheels are repainted and front and rear hubs as well.
    8. Fifth wheel's bolts are checked with torque wrench.
    9. Fifth wheel is greased, as well as prop shafts and all suspension points with grease points.
    10. Air pipes are checked for possible future damage.
  • Trailers were tautliners and flat decks.
    Mechanics were responsible for general maintenance and emergency repairs.
  • Repairs include points such as:
    1. Chevron boards.
    2. Lights.
    3. Sails.
    4. Weatherstrips.
    5. Freight straps.
    6. Edge boards.
    7. Kingpins.
    8. Brakes.
    9. Air pipes.
  • When horse comes for major service, trailer set are also major serviced.
    1. Chevron boards are checked.
    2. Sails checked for tears and damage.
    3. Check and repair weatherstrips.
    4. Wash out wheel bearings with diesel and petrol until all grease is removed and then check for damage and if it does not need to be replaced, grease it again and put it back. Stub axles are also checked for wear.
    5. Brakes and drums are checked and skimmed and bound if necessary.
    6. S‑cams of brakes bushings are checked and replaced if necessary.
    7. S‑cams are set up for clearance.
    8. Brake boosters are checked, and bolts torqued.
    9. Spring packs' U‑bolts are torqued again.
    10. Hubs and rims are painted.
    11. The fifth wheel of semi-trailer is washed, torqued, and greased.
