- I used to facilitate children aged between ages 9-18, in a
KZN rural village (Ingwavuma), in creating radio
content relevant to their peers in the community.
-I would assist the kids in planning and delivering a
radio show, which also included current affairs and hot topics in the
area. (We basically trained them to be mini local reporters, where they
used tape recorders) Those stories/ documentaries were then
converted into radio packages for an international Children's Project
- Translated the children's scripts from IsiZulu to English, and the
transcriptions used on the projects website
- Facilitated the children's radio workshops and assisted them in
acquiring the services of a health, social worker or
psychologist if needed.
