Project Manager Sasol - Sasol Block C Railway line Upgrade R 31 million
The line responsible for movement of all Sasol products through rail to customer had been subjected to formation failure and railway line deformation
Scope of work included civil (excavations, battering, layer works and the backfilling) and mechanical scope (railway line rehab inclusive of welding and temping)
Project was completed timeously and within budget.
Technical Tack lead Sasol - Secunda Railway network renewal project R 81,9 million
Responsible for development of scope of work, road map, and technical tracking of Secunda site rail network renewal project
Scope of work includes engineering design, layer work construction and replacement of railway lines and turnouts sets
Project is broken down to 6 phases and we are currently on phase 2.
Project Manager Sasol - Fire Water Pipelines Renewal Project R 900k
Responsible for management of the small scale project for renewal of leaking fire water lines in the plant
My roles included making sure designs were in place and fabrication of all the pipelines were concluded timeously, safely and efficiently.
Project Manager Sasol - Drain lines for the filters R 2,5 million
New regulation prevented operating through galvanised pipeline, recommendation was to change all filter drain lines from galvanised steel to carbon steel as per new SASOL LTD procedure
My roles included sourcing design, fabrication service provider
Management of the whole project from implementation to commissioning phase.
Project manager Sasol - Plant Platform Project R 2 million
This project was initiated for plant continuous improvement
Production operators struggled when reaching some isolation valves in the plant during emergency because of complicated plant configuration
My task was to do analysis on how we were to improve time taken to isolate during emergency and as a result we had to initiate a project of installing new platforms in the plant
I managed the project from design to implementation phase.
Project manager Steam Lines Refurbishment Project R 2 million
Conditions of the steam lines that we use for making pipelines safe during maintenance in the plant had deteriorated as a result of corrosive environment and had pinholes all over, the task at hand was to do design modifications, pre fabs and installation as part of plant continuous improvement.
