I am from a small town in the Eastern Cape called Bizana and my first language is Xhosa which is the predominant language in the province. My mother wanted me to learn English from a young age. Therefore, when I was just six years old and my sister five she sent us to boarding school. In every school I went to the medium of instruction was English, hence I always did English as the first language.
I am an inbound call centre agent for a UK insurance company called Atlanta at CCI, meaning I talk UK customers. Since I serve this clientele, my English has to be good and my accent needs to be intelligible. I can gladly say I achieve this with ease.
I serve as a volunteer for the children's ministry at Church. The Church is multi-cultural, hence the children come from homes that speak different languages. In a place where people have different first languages there needs to be a common language, for us that language is English.

I would describe myself as a thinker, as a result I read Christian apologetics and philosophy. I read very little fiction.
