I am a Ph.D. student at the School of Economics, University of Cape Town, specializing in Applied Economics and Econometrics. I have experience in academia and research policy analysis. In academia, my experience includes supervising and reviewing research projects for postgraduate diploma students, tutoring undergraduate economics students, marking tests, and reviewing student essays. In research and policy analysis, my experience includes providing evidence-based policy advice to the government of Kenya and private entities to ensure the smooth implementation and realization of development plan goals mainly in areas of Public Finance Management, Healthcare sector, and private sector development. I have extensive experience working in groups and on projects funded by international institutions such as UNICEF, UN Women, IMF and the World Bank. I am keen on economic data analysis using statistical software such as STATA, Advanced Excel, and R. I also have experience in desk review, writing reports, proposals, and policy briefs, and presenting in workshops and conferences.
