• 1. Teambuilder:
• A. I transitioned the finance team from 3 to 8 people, duties included recruitment, managing KPI’s, salary and bonus evaluations;
• B. Insourcing the accounting function of 8 companies, thereby reducing the accounting professional service fee by R1.5M annually.
• C. Re-organised the team several times to achieve efficiency whilst still delivering high quality output, thereby giving finance staff more time to add value to operational initiatives;
• 2. Systems specialist:
• A. Prepare the bid documents, focusing on financial scope, for the ERP system;
• B. Shortlist and contribute to vendor selection;
• C. Participate in the design and operation of the ERP system, including workflows, approvals, document layouts and accounting structure;
• D. Integrate the system with banking (SBSA), payroll (VIP) and group reporting (Cognos) to create efficient processing and reduce month end close.
• E. Analyze volumes and types of processing and approvals and recommend improved authorization structure, reducing time spent by the executive management approving invoices and payments;
• 3. Manage the cash flow of the SA subsidiaries, coordinating with group treasury on working capital funding locally and investment returns (SARB repatriation);
• 4. Managed various stakeholder relationships, such as Norfund, Stanlib and Old Mutual as minority investors in the project companies; Standard Bank as lender and transactional banker; EY as auditors; fellow management team such as VP of Supply Chain, the VP of Development etc.

• 1. Ensure compliance with our corporate finance agreement and requirements. This includes liaising with SBSA as senior lenders.
• 2. Perform and create a structure to the day to day administration of Gestamp Wind’s newly created South African subsidiaries.
• 3. Participated in the last round, BD3, of the RFP, by assisting in the financial library of the bid. Prepared the bid structure, wrote the financial response and tracked updates and version management of various inputs.
• 4. Recruit junior accountants for the growing company
• 5. Liaise with lawyers to amend and draw up commercial contracts

• 1. I contributed to the audit strategy that significantly reduced sample sizes and resulted in a higher recovery of costs.
• 2. Project managed various annual audits and successfully signed off on deadlines of listed entities such as Paarl Media, MMI Holdings and PSG Konsult.
