I developed skills in preparing monthly management accounts on Sage, Xero and Dext.

The processing of journal entries and transactions was mostly performed on Sage as most of my clients were using Sage.

However, there was an alternative, Xero, which improved my scrutinising skills and capturing invoices.

Compiled financial information, figures and forecasts for budgetary decision-making.

I perform monthly payrolls for clients on Pastel as well as Sage Payroll

Completed monthly VAT returns

I was introduced to VAT efiling.

• Calculated, prepared and filed payroll taxes for clients.
• I am currently doing my SAICA articles at Northplan Chartered Accountants which is a small firm situated in Johannesburg.

• During my traineeship, I tutored Management Accounting to undergraduate students pursuing SAIPA accredited Bcom in Financial Accountancy.
• Tutored Management Accounting (MACC) at North West University in 2024.
• Evaluated over 100 student scripts within a tight two-week deadline, ensuring timely feedback.
• Collaborated in Management and Finance department, gaining experience in teamwork and accountability for student performance, reinforcing my self-motivation and drive to achieve performance targets.
• Developed skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint by preparing memorandums and presentation slides for students.
• Cherished exposure to academia, motivating my decision to pursue further studies in Chartered Accountancy.

• Completed vacation work at BDO during mid-year study break, gaining insights into auditing practices.
• I discovered an interest in Auditing during my vacation work which led me to spending more time to study auditing and understanding what I am expected to do during an audit.
