I am based at Microsoft and responsible for overall health and safety program, my duties entail:
• Compiling legal register and ensuring compliance to the South African legislation & Microsoft health and safety programs
• Incident management which includes incident investigation and advising on preventative measures
• Ensure that all employees work in accordance with the internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and best practices
• Overseeing health and safety committee meetings
• Conduct audits, inspections, and performance reviews to ensure compliance
• Provide safety training for employees on policies, regulations and procedures
• Advise Microsoft team on safety issues and compliance in specific projects and operations
• Monitoring all the health and safety risks and hazards in the workplace
• Supporting the continuous improvement and advising leadership of status
• Monitoring job safety of employees and contractors

• Overseeing and managing wellness, food safety and safety programs for the MEA region
• Preparing and coordination ISO 45001 audits
• Conducting employee and leadership training
• Assisting leadership with ISO management reviews and guiding with safety responsibilities
• Working with legal department to prepare and update legal registers
• Work with different business unit to compile and send health and safety communication for different stakeholders
• Review contractor information and SHE files
• Conduct building safety reviews and track safety findings till closure
• Project management and safety consideration for all IBM projects
