- Seismic station installation
- Preparing, configuring and testing seismograph station equipment, sensors, data loggers, and mobile routers
- Performing site survey, stakeholder engagement, and site inspection before station construction
- Seismograph station construction and on-site installations
- Integrating newly installed stations into the entire Seismic System (network connectivity, data streaming, database writing, data quality and uptime, archiving and backups)
- Performing maintenance and repairs on electronic devices, and power system (solar, regulator, and batteries)
- Testing, verification and calibration, of sensors and electronics systems
- Logistical planning and arrangements for field repairs
- Reviewing maintenance / repair reports from more junior staff
- Determining cause of problems on technical scientific and axillary equipment
- Management and administration of Seismic Systems including station leases
- Database management
- Operation / optimisation / enhancement / configuration of software and hardware in line with Seismic System plans
- Monitoring state-of-health & data availability of seismograph Networks
- Developing working relationships with stakeholders at seismograph stations sites
- Reviewing monitoring reports from more junior staff
- Developing new standard operating procedures (SOPs) and performing work according to the existing SOPs
- Performing research on new technological trends in the field of seismology to keep abreast with the trends
- Performing troubleshooting on Seismic Systems
- Drafting RFQs, sitting in BECs and BSCs
- Developing change configuration management documents
