Responsible for road quality and road assets inspections using TMH 9 as a
guideline and a program called iRAC for visual assessments
Municipal
roads and assets are assessed for defects and current condition
The work
requires critical thinking and good analysis and an understanding of road
construction, to ensure that the roads are safe to drive on
The work also
consists of the assessment of the stormwater system that runs along the
road
The assessment of stormwater consists of blockage checks and the
integrity of the structure
Additionally, a traffic count is conducted in a 4-
type vehicle classification system
Working in the environment increased
my attention to detail and sharpened my analysis, I have also
developed critical thinking in an environment that requires focus.
