  • Responsible for road quality and road assets inspections using TMH 9 as a guideline and a program called iRAC for visual assessments
  • Municipal roads and assets are assessed for defects and current condition
  • The work requires critical thinking and good analysis and an understanding of road construction, to ensure that the roads are safe to drive on
  • The work also consists of the assessment of the stormwater system that runs along the road
  • The assessment of stormwater consists of blockage checks and the integrity of the structure
  • Additionally, a traffic count is conducted in a 4- type vehicle classification system
  • Working in the environment increased my attention to detail and sharpened my analysis, I have also developed critical thinking in an environment that requires focus.
