Summary
I am a 29-year-old SANBI GIS and remote sensing intern, graduated with honors degree at university of Fort Hare and in need of entry level job or more internship opportunities to expand my horizons. Currently I am based at Breede-Olifants catchment Management Agency (BOCMA) in Worcester as part of BOCMA- SANBI collaboration agreement. I am a hardworking, visionary, results oriented, honest, and dependable person. I do GIS mapping spatial analysis, research, data analysis and data collection (for both field and remotely). Amongst other things I do with BOCMA is validation and verification of license maps, Wetland monitoring and assessment, hydrological monitoring using GIS tools. WULA mapping and mapping of Alien invasive species and restructuring the attribute table in meaningful way based on their NBallds. I am currently working on the mapping the Water User Association (WUA) and Irrigation Board mapping. Amongst other things I am also doing River Management and Maintenance Plan (RMMP) mapping for SANBI, and I possess great computer skills.

- Key performance areas include Support the Ecological Infrastructure (EI), and Collaboration Partner with:
- Providing GIS support to th Berg-Breede demonstration catchment of the Ecological Infrastructure for Water Security (EI4WS) project.
- Support Breede Olifants Catchment Management Agency (BOCMA) with ELU Validation and Verification maps for the WULA in supporting the water resource management unit.
- Wetland monitoring and assessment.
- Provide support in reviewing the water use license applications and providing comments
- Collecting GIS data and undertaking fieldwork in the catchment for water quality monitoring.
- Create spatial layers that can be used for prioritization, site selection and decision making on projects being implemented.
- Generating GIS maps to be used in presentations with the assistance of the SANBI GIS specialist and BOCMA.
- Participate and support the spatial working group and GIS forum
- Drafting validation and verification maps and support the collaboration partner specialist.
