  • Working hand in hand with the Lead Study Coordinator in working across the Clinical Trials as well as the Observational trials that are currently ongoing in the Department such as the M72 Clinical Trial and The IMAGINE Clinical Trial paying attention participant safety and ICH GCP as well as Ethics in Clinical Research.
  • Ensuring that screening, consenting and enrolment of participants take place in line with project protocol as and when required.
  • Making sure Screening logs and Enrolment logs are up to date.
  • Scheduling of participants for on-site Clinic Visits and remote calls whilst ensuring that we adhere to allowable visit windows.
  • Conduction of Quality Check of Data ie,QC 1 and 2.
  • Ordering of Kits for the Current Clinical Trials.
  • Facilitating Kit Control as well as the Kit Destruction of Expired Items.
  • Doing Infection Control duties such as checking the correct waste segregation of items across the clinics, ensuring that the clinics have enough supplies for hand washing and proper waste disposal as per site SOP’s.
  • Coming up with Kit Destruction logs as well as the Kits log to make sure that the Clinic always has the correct number of kits that are within an acceptable date for use.
  • Follow up on Clinic Visits as well as to follow-up on participants that are referred to other institutions.
  • Checking vital signs on eligible participants when required.
  • Recording vital signs and observations of participant in the source document.
  • Completion of Case Referral Form for each visiting participant when clinical Assistance required.
  • Conducting Phlebotomy according to protocol (study specific).
  • Collecting Study Specimens as per protocol.
  • Collecting study medication from pharmacy, administer and provide participant education per protocol.
  • Calling participants who are eligible for enrolment/have abnormal test result and arrange study visits.
  • Carrying out prescribed orders (from Pl/Study Coordinator) to ensure optimal quality care is needed and escorting participants during external case referrals.
  • Educating participants with regard to project aims and information.
  • Conducting both physical and clinical observations for participants during each study visit per protocol.
  • Consulting with study doctor/coordinator if and when necessary to promote holistic care.
  • Completing source documentation at the time of participant visit for each participant visit.
  • Tracking lost to follow ups participants by means of telephone or home visit.
