I was working as community service professional nurse at Ermelo provincial hospital in Ermelo, Mpumalanga. In this position I got a chance to rotate at surgical-medical ward, casualty and maternity.

I was responsible for:

• practicing patient care according to the scope of practice and assume total responsibility for these activities
• contribute to the holistic care of patients
• providing pre and postoperative care
• attend handover of report at shift commencement
• communicate effectively with patients regarding their care
• promote patient care and well-being
• audit of all health records or ensure compliance
• ensure all stock is well controlled and managed, charged and credited appropriately
• promote and maintain good public relations with patients, relatives and visitors.

I was granted a chance to attend 5 days workshop for HIV Advanced Clinical Care supervised by Dr L.Mbobo.
