* Manage library personnel: advise, guide and develop staff; assess performance levels; manage time and attendance; monitor and assess behavioral issues; Managing daily rosters to comply with community needs; Participate in recruitment processes;

* Manage library operations: Monitor community profile and needs; Implement and execute annual library business plan; managing operational and book budgets; Ensure OHS compliance; manage library facility; Oversee cash management procedures;

* Library service functions: Provide advice and guidance to a diverse community; Oversee duties and participate in desk service; Ensure to maintain a balanced and relevant collection; Make sure all processes are done according to policies and procedures including membership applications.

* Partnership: Advocating and maintaining partnerships that is related to the library services.

* Administration: Plan, monitor and execute library reports and statistics and report timeous; Participate in stock take and asset verification of facility; Monitor and report on contract management related to library services; Manage, order and follow up on material needed for basic library services; Liaise with HO in relations to collection development, HR, training and development, courier service, IT related issues, assets, finance, professional services and marketing. Oversee the booking of the library hall facility.
