Monitor and control the production process by allocating and managing resources (people and equipment) to attain the production targets safely.

• Communicate operational information and changes to relevant stakeholders to minimise delays in Ore extraction
• Complete logbooks and other legal documentation required under the Regulations and mines procedures, and standards
• Continuously analyse relevant mining activities to recommend or implement improvements and changes to maximise outputs
• Co-ordinate and manage labour structures and plan the required relevant training
• Coordinate and monitor mining activities to ensure adherence to mine standards and operational targets
• Co-ordinate shift handover by checking log sheets, physical mining activities, and communicating with relevant subordinates
• Ensure that people work according to Standard Operating Procedures
• Ensure that unsafe areas are barricaded
• Perform accident and incident investigation(s) according to organisational standards
• Plan activities per operational and maintenance schedules and allocate resources as required
• Responsible for planning and organising crews who are under the direct control of the miner
• Responsible for planning, controlling, leading and organising repairs and breakdowns
• Supervise and ensure that blasting operations, such as controlling of explosives, preparing workings for blasting, charging up at sites, conducting blasting and treating misfires, are executed according to standards and procedures
• Responsible for the observation of the MHS Act and Regulations, COPs, standards and procedures
• Must be able to work shifts and overtime
• Required to perform other duties that may reasonably be expected within the Company from time to time.
