Assist inspectors with planning and execution of

proactive inspections of workplaces to monitor

compliance with OHS legislation.

Provide assistance with incidents, investigation and

complaints reported at workplaces to determine causes and enforce corrective actions.

Issue, enforce, and follow up on compliance notices.

Compile and submit detailed inspection reports and contribute to regional inspection plans.

• Assist with Compliance & Regulation: Enforce adherence to the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act, environmental regulations.
• Assist with risk management by Identify workplace hazards, conduct continuous risk assessments, and implement preventative control measures.
• Training & Awareness, Facilitate health and safety inductions, toolbox talks, and emergency preparedness drills.
• Audits & Reporting, Execute routine facility inspections, manage safety documentation files

• Port health officers enforce public health laws to protect the public.
• Inspection of food, medicine, hazardous materials and any other imports.
• Compile monthly reports.
• Facilitated health and safety talk to other stakeholders.
