- Process cross-border payment instructions accurately and within service level agreements (SLAs).
- Validate and authorize international telegraphic transfers (ITTs) in compliance with exchange control regulations.
- Investigate and resolve client and internal queries related to ITT payments.
- Liaise with correspondent banks and internal stakeholders to track and trace cross-border transactions.
- Perform sanction screening and ensure all transactions meet compliance and anti-money laundering (AML) requirements.
- Escalate suspicious or high-risk transactions to compliance or management for further review.
- Monitor daily workflow queues to ensure timely and efficient processing of payments.
- Capture and verify payment details in the core banking system and ensure data integrity.
- Communicate with clients and branches to obtain missing or additional information for payment processing.
- Maintain accurate records of processed transactions for audit and regulatory purposes.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to Standard Bank's internal policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
- Support month-end and year-end reconciliations of cross-border transactions.
- Assist in training new team members on systems, compliance, and standard operating procedures.
- Check outstanding query, create case and transfer cases, investigate.
- Worked with Qman system while I was in call centre space assisting with tracing funds and concluding the case with relevant details to client.
- Assisting with inbound and outbound calls for international and local foreign payments.
- Releasing and tracing of inward funds.
- Sending swift messages (MT199, MT192 and MT195) to the foreign banks.
- Assisting branch staff with general escalations in the QMAN query box as well as on calls.
- Training new staff on both products and systems.
