Here, I wish to outline my writing skills through generating content for the administration. I am a seasoned communicator with experience working on Communications Strategies in the Department of Human Settlements (CoJ) under the City of Joburg, to convey a cohesive brand across all internal and external stakeholders.

An eagerness to learn and a conscientious personality gives me confidence that I am most suited to perform all other general administration duties as instructed to me by my superiors.

I am a graduate with a National Diploma in Journalism obtained from Durban University of Technology. I have also obtained my B-tech in Journalism from Tshwane University of Technology. Through the years, I have worked in the 4th Estate where I focused primarily on Local, Provincial, National Government, and Political reporting.

When I jumped ship to join the administration of the City of Joburg to beef up the Communications and Stakeholder space, I coordinated content to create unified media materials and outreach, including increasing social media presence. I have to date, done a sterling job. I have further played a pivotal role in developing and maintaining a positive brand visibility and brand reputation for the Department.

This is backed up by the Statistical Report which is conducted by Newsclip Media Monitoring (Pty) Ltd, which laid bare how the Department of Human Settlements has increased its presence in the media (positive stories) as well as community education.

Having bagged experience in the industry as a journalist for some years, I believe that I will be an asset to the organization. I am a hard worker, very punctual and I like to deliver on time.

I have worked for online publications called Journalismiziko, TimesLIVE, The Times as well as Sowetan newspaper and SowetanLIVE and IgnitionLIVE, which has helped to broaden my knowledge in the media industry and particularly in covering current affairs and political stories that have sparked debate in the country and internationally.

My abilities are that I am multimedia skilled and can operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines. I am self-motivated, vigorous, imaginative, and able to work effectively as a team member. I can deliver; original thoughts and I have outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

I have an appetite for South African socio-economic issues with regards to local government that are of relevance to the public domain at large, while still one also loves debating about issues related to the youth and politics generally.
