ACLS Training - [2024 - 2026]

I was born in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. I attended Cordwalles Prep School and the when on to High School at Michaelhouse School in Balgowan. I always dreamed of becoming a Doctor as a child following in my Mother and Fathers footsteps who are a GP and Obs and Gynae specialist in Pietermaritzburg respectfully. I initially didn't get accepted to Medicine in any of the Universities in South African. Determined to get in, I attended the BSC biological sciences program at the University of Pretoria. Working hard and transitioned in the MBChB program after my first 6 months in 1st year. While i was in university i was selected to become of member of the Executive counsel in my residence, The Republic of Kollegetehuis in my 3rd year where I held the positions of minister of Internal and External affairs as well as Minister of Clothing.

After i achieved my degree, i worked as an Intern in Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town. This is where i finalized my clinical skills and learnt important team working skills while working in large and very busy hospital.

I then worked as a Community Service Doctor at Shongwe hospital in Mpumalanga. I work for 2 months in Obs and Gynae, 4 months in Neonatology and then finished of the year with 6 months in Casualty (Emergency Department). I learnt to be an independent clinician, making evidenced based decisions in a very recourse limited and senior deficient environment.

Outside of work I enjoy an active and healthy life style with a wide variety of sports including golf, fishing, tennis and squash just to name a few. I'm a family and friends centered man while having a good work ethic and aspirations to have very successful medical career.
