SANAS Internal Auditing ISO/ IEC 17025 Root Cause Analysis Technique (RCAT) Roles & Responsibilities : To evaluate the suitability of current analytical methods and procedures with regard to customer and quality requirements. To develop instrumental methods and procedures to include operation, calibration, verification, validation, and maintenance. To manage research, development and implementation of new methodology, instruments and techniques. To develop, modify and validate test methods according to SANAS requirements. To manage resources – human and material – in accordance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025. To manage the acquisition, implementation and maintenance of electronic data-handling, storage and transfer systems. To provide on the job training to relevant staff. To determine and specify the quality and stock levels of consumable items. To verify and interpret test results. To issue the test reports as an approved technical signatory. To identify any deviations/non-conformances from the quality policy or procedures of the laboratory and to initiate actions to determine root causes, and to eliminate, prevent or minimize such deviations/non-conformances. To carry out operational maintenance and upkeep of instruments and equipment. To perform relevant administration duties in respect of samples, stocks, and reports. To liaze with external organizations and customers. Successful participation in SABS water proficiency scheme.
