- I worked as a hostess, greeting and welcoming customers
- Showing customers to their seats and informing waiters of newly arrived customers.
- As a waiters assistant I would greet and introduce myself politely and audibly, hand out our menus to seated customers, take customers refreshment orders during extremely busy periods to assist waiters.
- Inform waiters of the seated and waiting customers that I have assisted.
- During my time of employment at Wagyu, I also had the experience of working as a waitress and my duties was to ensure that the tables were cleaned before customers would sit down, also politely and audibly introducing myself, allowing customers to settle in.
- Provide customers with their cutlery and place mats.
- Inform customers of our current promotions and allow them adequate time to review our menus but not delay to return to customers to take their orders.
- Attentively listening to customers while jotting down their orders to ensure it is recorded correctly as to avoid any miscommunication between myself as a waitress and kitchen staff as it could easily lead to customer dissatisfaction.
- Serve customers their meals accordingly and on time.
Summary
- I had the privilege of working at Curves Gym as a freelancer on Friday afternoons, and Saturdays during gym opening hours to assist coaches and manager with the distribution of promotional and generic Curves gym flyers to help generate good quality leads and potential clients to help increase sales. My main duties was to assist permanent staff with marketing the Curves brand by distributing flyers and assist coaches with general duties. During my period of freelancing at Curves, it has helped me to improve my people skills, remaining enthusiastic, polite and persevere despite set backs or rejections and learning how imperative it is to have an in depth knowledge of the product or service you are promoting or information being handed out and be a point of information for people with questions.
- I have been previously employed at Wagyu Resturant in Paarl as a part-time waiter assistant on weekends. Currently i am not employed as I have just completed Secondary school in 2023 and I am now seeking permanent employment. I am a hard working and a trustworthy individual with an engaging personality and friendly nature. I am adaptable and resilient to convey my ability to adjust to new situations and challenges. I consider myself to be customer orientated to ensure an enjoyable dining experience and positive overall customer satisfaction as well as gaining loyal and repeat customers.
