Providing technical assistance and coaching to the operational Geologists, and conducting annual geological audits to ensure compliance to industry and company standards, with emphasis on safety.

Generating and updating the Resource Models across the Rustenburg and Kroondal PGM operations.

Planning and executing of the Surface Exploration Drilling projects with input from the Operational Geologists. This includes sourcing and negotiating with potential suppliers/service providers.

follow industry developments to ensure that the Geology systems in place are up to date, test new software and equipments to enhance the geology department.

talent and succession planning within the geology department across Rustenburg and Kroondal operations.

Updating the annual Structural Model and Geological Losses for input into the Business Plan.

Annual reconciliation of resource and reserves.

Managing of the boreholes, sampling and evaluation database.

Advise on the ore body and related risk for effective mine planning.

Implement grade control measures to optimize ore extraction.

Managing of underground diamond drilling activities (cover and prospect)

Ensuring cross-functional integration between the Geology department and the other Mining Departments.

Ensure adherence to group standards and procedures.

Underground Geological mapping and updating of hazard plans.

Training of junior/graduate Geologists.

Underground Geological mapping, borehole logging and sampling.

Assist in Updating of the annual Structural model and Geological losses estimation.

Involvement in monthly planning to ensure effective mining ahead and risk rating of hazards to ensure safe profitable mining.
