Schedule delivery requirements timeously to DC's and Customers and Mills
Reduce stock levels at the Mills by optimizing the transfers from Mills to Distribution Centers
Formulate and organise the load plan to the distribution centers and Mills for each delivered day and ensure that the delivered plan is executed accordingly
Monitor any issues that arise regarding the deliveries and therefore all the delays that ensue and solve the problems necessary to ensure that the deliveries are done on time
Communicate any deviations to the plan to the transporters as well as to the business
Vehicle allocation management
Communicate delays to the business and ensure that the new slot times are adhered to by the transporter
Manage of Check ins / Turn around Times / Ontime deliveries
Communicate with Clients Customer Sales Administrators (CSA) at all times regarding the execution of the delivered plans
Manage the relationship with 3rd party logistics providers (Transport and Warehousing) ensuring all business requirements are captured under a formal contractual framework
Manage the coordination of the movement of stock between distribution center (DC)'s and Mills as required
Manage the coordination and oversee supply activities executed by third party logistics service providers
Oversee the scheduled transport activities to ensure that the appropriate materials are replenished for production and the necessary products for customers to avoid shortages and maintain stock levels
Maintained workflow at consistent pace balancing acceptable levels of movement safety and performance
Kept up consistent workflow within outbound operational standards
Customer centric approach with close integration and working relationship with Customer Services
Oversee the tracking and monitoring of any deviances from the operational plan
Visibility, tracking and communication of shipments towards other internal and external customers
Manage the daily & weekly distribution plan, following customer feedback
To work cross-functionally in the business to ensure that relevant information as per the stipulated deadlines is received in order to effectively plan and organize logistics activities
Remotely oversee picking, stocking and receiving procedures
To continuously gather and interpret data (i.e
3rd party transporters KPI and demand patterns) from the ERP, operations and translate the information into business reports and presentations on a monthly basis to the stakeholders
