  • Enforce import and export controls by ensuring compliance with Customs and Excise Act and Regulations, VAT Act and Regulations and other import and export legislation at the Port of Entry

  • Review the duties and taxes assessed according to Customs regimes and facilitate recovery of revenue owed on consignments
  • Adhere to the identified risk strategies and identify external and internal risk to ensure effective internal operation controls and monitor prohibitions and restrictions set in place by customs laws

Affiliations

  • Appointed as a member of the Eswatini Anti- Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism (Prevention) Task Force(TF) from September 2023 representing the Eswatini Revenue Service. As part of being a member of the TF, the functions I am responsible for include, developing an AML/ CFT National Strategy for Eswatini, coordinate a national assessment for Eswatini and ensure the implementation of FATF findings and typologies recommendations and ensuring Government Policy on AML/ CFT is implemented.


  • Appointed as a Data Protection Officer(DPO) for the Eswatini Revenue Service in terms of the Eswatini Data Protection Act from March 2024 responsible for ensuring the protection and privacy of personal data within the Eswatini Revenue. Authority. Additionally, the role requires that the DPO develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance to the ACT and ensure staff are aware of their duty to protect data subjects rights, obligations and responsibilities and raise awareness about them. The DPO also has to conduct audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and take appropriate actions to mitigate them within the Organisation. .
