The DCHS is a multi-disciplinary study that involved working as part of a larger team of professional, academic, and administrative staff. I was responsible for the following:

  • Interacting and connecting with a diverse range of paediatric participants in person.
  • Collected research data through administering paediatric neuro-cognitive assessments (WPPSI and ELOM) to over 250 children aged 5-6 in English and Afrikaans.
  • Administered social and maternal questionnaires to parents of children enrolled in the study.
  • Entered data into computer databases and job-related software, as well as conducting data quality checking (RedCap and Microsoft Excel).
  • Trained six new research assistants in clinical research protocols (i.e., assessments and questionnaires).
