Mainly responsible for all Sibanye Platinum mining continuous expansion construction projects both underground and surface plant electrical installations – Sibanye Platinum SA Capital Projects

· Underground and Surface Electrical Installations of Conveyor belts and Starter Panels and Gulley Rigs, Commissioning of Conveyors: Safety circuits, DOL Starters, Star-Delta Starters and Soft Starters, Trouble-shooting of conveyor electrical faults from drawings and attending to breakdowns and Call-Outs

· Working on Mini-Substations - All Electrical HT< reticulations including LT Switching, Gland and terminating cables up to and including 185 square metres, HT Cable jointing, End making and Terminations, PILC and XLPE Cables (Certified by Joint master)

• Gland and terminating cables in motor starter panels and all electrical control panels including wiring of various motor drives ( ABB, WEG, TOSHIBA, MITSUBISHI)
• Testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeter and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of the system. Trouble shooting and isolating faults in electrical and electronic systems and removing and replacing faulty components.
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
• Adhering to safety standards at the workplace by doing continuous risk assessment for the job.

· Carrying out scheduled maintenance on Paper Mills PM1 & PM3. Maintenance of Variable Speed Drives and Drive Motors, DC rewinder motors including maintenance of substations and motor Control Centres (MCCs)

· Handling of all Electrical breakdowns and production equipment and performing services and maintenance as per supplier specifications. Scheduled maintenance on switchgear, transformers and overhauling of electric motors

· Acquaintances with PLCs, Soft Starters, Overhead Cranes, Conveyors systems, Temperature sensors and Level Sensors and high speed machinery.

· Completion of Job Cards, ensuring safety, hygiene and Housekeeping and performing ad hoc tasks.

· Electrical installations, plant modifications which improve machine operability, and product quality or SHE, within the requirements of the modification proposal system.

• Installed, tested and modified circuit breakers, controls, fuses, lights and motors.
• Inspected circuits already in place and lead team of electricians through installing high quality new ones.
• Interpreted and validated technical issues, test solutions, follow-up and escalate when necessary.
• Fixed wiring and circuit systems to correct performance issues and safety concerns.
• Performed preventive maintenance tasks to verify proper working condition of electrical panels and conduits.
• Updated and modified components and systems to improve operation.
• Troubleshot and repaired 110V through 400V-voltage alternating current equipment.
