Pledge a Pad is a NGO, which collects, distributes sanitary pads to underprivileged girls. Our organization have attended public talks on Morning Life and conduct workshops on personal hygiene for underprivileged girls.

• Gather intelligence on ground level, respond swiftly on grievances to abate possible strikes and work stoppages in order to ensure optimum productivity and achievement of project mile stones;
• Attend to full understanding and compliance with Business Plans and Service Level Agreements, Partnership Agreements and Site-Specific Agreements;
• Ensuring that contactors on site comply with inter-alia, Labour Policies, Employment Equity Act, Labour Relations Act, Basic conditions of Employment Act, the Metal and Engineering Bargaining Council Regulations, the Bargaining Council for the Civil Engineering Industry.
• Liaise with and act between the Trade Union and Employers and Attending to all grievances by employee(s);
• Perusal of employment contracts to ensure alignment with Labour legislation and Policies;
• Ensure employers adhere to the settlement order by the Bargaining Council;
• Provide sound legal advice and extensive reports to client;
• Conduct quarterly audits on the contractors in order to ensure physical and documentary compliance with the above-mentioned Acts, Regulations and Collective agreements.
• Request, peruse documentation, check for accuracy and legitimacy of same;
• Research: the substantive and procedural law, related to the matter at hand;
• Provide telephonic legal advice and feedback to client;
• Draft correspondence and various legal documents;
• Attend to certain ad-hoc duties
I attended to the drafting of filled RAF forms and obtaining and submitting supporting documentation from clients, police stations and the hospitals.
I also drafted summonses and other pleadings, notices, various interlocutory applications and pre-trial agendas and minutes.
Setting matters down on opposed, un-opposed and trial roll, uplifting of Court files, indexing and pagination. I prepared briefs for advocates, attended to consultations with Advocates and Clients, Uplifted Court Orders, lodged documentation in application and interlocutory proceedings, sought default judgments, issued summonses and take them to the Sheriff and lodged claims with the RAF.

I have been exposed to these various areas of Law inter alia Interpretation of Statutes, Claims against the State, debt collection, Insolvency Law, Medical Negligence Practice, Administrative Law, Family Law, Divorce Matters, Insurance Law and RAF matters.
I have drafted amongst others the following: Letters of Demand, Simple and Combined Summons, Declarations, Particulars of Claim, Notices of Intention to Defend, Notices of Bar, Pleas and Counter Claims, Notices of Set Down for trial, Various other notices in terms of the Uniform Rules in both the Magistrate and High Court. I have also drafted numerous applications both opposed and unopposed, extensive reports to Clients, Settlement Agreements particularly in divorce matters.
I have appeared in numerous creditors meetings (insolvency law) before the Master of The High Court and various Magistrates Courts around Gauteng to attend to proving claims for creditors, argue its validity and/or argue for the rejection of claims by other creditors, tabled reports and adopted Resolutions.
