The function of my role is to provide high-level administrative support to the Design and P&L Departments at ARRCC.


Prepare project Furniture and Fabric Registers and Schedules
Development and Management of the Specification Control Book
Local and International Turnkey Suppliers Relations and Development
Briefing of Manufacturers, Quality control of items in manufacture
Addressing of project snags post completion
Inspection of goods at storage or on site, packaging, labeling
Liaising with Manufacturers and Suppliers by Requesting Information, Quotes, Prices, Invoices
Sit in on meetings with Suppliers/ Clients with Project Managers
Presentation work (mostly PowerPoint)
Sourcing Fabric samples, furniture & turnkey design items for projects
Site visits to oversee suppliers and meet consultants
Site measurements which include plug points and other important points on site as well as taking site photos
Putting together furniture and fabric presentations/ scheduling
Taking meeting minutes.

My responsibilities involved identifying and recommending products from international Vendors and Manufacturers to local clients in South Africa, with a focus on sourcing unique homeware and decor items for a specific target market.

This included researching new vendors and manufacturers, understanding client preferences, and proposing suitable products.

Label product samples and final products, ensuring correct pricing is on each product and sent to the client.
Responsible for arranging courier quotations and product quotations.
Negotiate with clients and vendors regarding products and build positive, long-term relationships.

Prepare competitive retail and pricing strategies for products clients requested.
To follow up outstanding purchase orders with our suppliers to ensure that deadlines are met.
Communicating with our international manufacturer's.

Assisting with admin duties to the Director and Senior Buyer.
Monthly invoicing of orders for the entire Homeware department and ensuring that the team is on track with shipment dates and deliveries.

Follow up with Junior Assistants and make sure their work is up to date. Liaise with the warehouse and vendors regarding
any changes to shipment and deliveries.
Sign and accept parcel deliveries
Ensure monthly filing is up to date
