Responsibilities: Personal Injury Law, Medical Negligence claims , Criminal Law , Family Law and General Magistrate Court Litigation;

General administrative duties;

Attending to the issuing, serving, filing and preparation of Court documents;

Attending to the drafting of pleadings, affidavits and notices in trial and motion proceedings;

Attending consultations with clients and Counsel;

Attending to drafting letters to Counsel, opposing parties and sheriffs;

Uploading of case bundles onto CaseLines and attending hearings including virtual hearings via Zoom and Microsoft Teams;

Attending to giving and receiving instructions to correspondent attorneys;

Attending to the drafting and preparation of briefs for Counsel;

Attending to the drafting of subpoenas;

Attending the Master’s Office for the submission of documents pertaining to appointments by the master;

Legal research conducted for purposes of providing advice to clients;

Attending to drafting pleadings, notices, pre-trial minutes, discovery affidavits and other documents relevant to trial and motion proceedings of personal injury matters;

Arranging and attending pre-trial conferences;

Attending to the final enrolment of Interlocutory applications, Default Judgements and trial matters;

Corresponding with defendant’s attorneys, State attorneys and the Road Accident Fund claim handlers, especially pertaining to negotiations of merits and quantum trials;

Attending to applying for Judicial Case Management Conference, Trial interlocutory, Default Judgement and Merits and Quantum trial dates;

Assisting Counsel in preparing for default Judgements, Merits and Quantum trials;

Attending consultations, corresponding with clients, taking instructions from clients, providing advice and feedback to clients;
