I am responsible for the technical management of the Bayobab infrastructure especially the signaling setup, key tasks being:

• Configuration of Signaling peering (Diameter and SS7) and IPX/GRX with MTN Opcos and SCCP carriers.
• Support the signaling configuration in relation with International Roaming.
• Ensure departmental and special project implementation with stakeholders in timely manner (e.g. planned expansions, upgrades, migrations, swaps, new services).
• Ensure service availability by keeping roaming and Signaling database updated and consistent to avoid service disturbance.
• Produce periodical reports of the Department on schedule.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through effective support (requests, complaints, incidents, problems, change management) and resolve all escalated operational issues in a timely manner.

Main Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate technical activities required to introduce new partners and to maintain existing roaming partners.
• Test SIM management.
• Ensure that all administrative and testing requirements are met to
  introduce roaming with new roaming partners.
• Ensure that roaming service is maintained with existing roaming
  partners by ensuring that change requests are implemented.
• Ensure record keeping of administrative details on every roaming
  partner.
• Performing IREG tests i.e. IR.24, IR.35 IR.32, IR.50, IR.25 and 5G

• Responsible for daily operation of Network Operation Center (NOC)
• Lead the NOC team in carrying out the daily activities such as fault restoration and customer complaint handling.
• Monitor and manage system alarms.
• Action any faults and alarms received via telephone, email and monitoring systems • Ensure faults are reported and cleared within defined timelines. • Ensure the SLA and KPI in relation to NOC is met • Manage change requests as per company's policy and process. • Act as a central point of contact for all change requests. Ensure change request verification, approval and execution, according to the workflow process. • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports

• Respond to client service calls and resolve technical faults on equipment, either remotely or on-site.
• Installation and commissioning of new equipment / technology deployment, including type approvals, field trials etc.
• Complete the necessary documentation to control equipment for support and loan purposes.
• Provide required support to product sales in order to assist with customer presentations, trials, type approvals and demonstrations and successful completion of quotes, proposals and tenders as specified.

• Co-ordinate, manage all high level technical support activities in the International Roaming department, ensuring maximum availability of the International Roaming and Dialing Services to the customer.
• Performing IREG tests i.e. IR.24, IR.35 IR.32, and IR.50.
• Responsible for the setting-up, implementation, testing of new/existing roaming partner’s data.
• Organize and execute regular system and database audits.
• Liaise with foreign operators, internal departments and external parties with regards to roaming related issues.
• Conduct troubleshooting and problem resolutions to all IR related faults or queries.

• Administration of the NSS database configuration.
• Provide technical feedback on changes for engineers in the Operations Department.
• Verify correctness of all changes required.
• Act as a central point of contact for change management on network elements such as BSS, NSS, IN, POWER, and VMS by ensuring work order verification, execution and approval according to the workflow process.
• Co-ordinate and notify these changes with Fault Management Team, Network Planning Engineers and Technical Support.
• Conduct regular audits on NSS and BSS databases to ensure consistency, accuracy and integrity of all related data and documentation.

• Provide a 24/7 network surveillance and fault management ensuring that quality standards are met and problems are resolved within SLA time frames for Switching Subsystems(SSS) and Base Station Subsystem (BSS), using tools such as Siemens Switch Commander and Radio Commander and HP Service Desk.
• Monitor, detect, localize and solve problems on the system and liaise with Cell C partners to provide information pertaining to the network.
• Provide first line resolution to customer queries and on monitored network systems.
