Emit Reversing Time is a logistics company that works with transporting goods all over South Africa.

I was hired by Emit to be at one their client's place of business to ensure everything goes according to plan.

The client is a tyre manufacturer that only specializes in the making and selling of tyres.


Key Responsibilities:


  • If a rep had any questions regarding the delivery of tyres, they would contact me.
  • If there was any issue regarding the tyres, the reps and Emit would contact me in order to sort it out.
  • Every single tyre had to be stuck with a sticker stating where the tyre has to go and the amount.
  • I had to learn how to use the capturing system in order to process all of the orders and make the stickers for the tyres
  • Everyday i go back with the truck that collect the tyres in the afternoon and ensure offloading goes to plan.
  • Communication is a vital factor of my job, I need to organize transport according to the amount of tyres that are getting dispatched.

Bearing Vision is a company that sells equipment for machinery including bearings, snap rings, chains, etc.

I was hired with their objective being to expand my knowledge surrounding sales.

The 2 months I worked there showed me a good understanding of the professional world and how to treat people.


Key Responsibilities:


  • I had to take orders from clients stating what items they want to be delivered.
  • Had to learn how to use the system they were using to capture invoices, etc.

Telesales Representative

Jasper It is an IT company that works with different types of software.

I was hired to be a part of a telesales team. We had to make 120 connected calls everyday with a minimum of 5 apps per day.

What made it difficult was the fact that we had to go on Google Maps and call random companies, with the hope that they are in the market for a software company, as well as to convince them to agree to an appointment with one of the reps.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Speak to 120 different people every day.
  • Get 5 of them to agree to an appointment.
  • Schedule the appointments according to the available time frames.
