Summary

I am a dedicated civil engineering technologist with a strong academic foundation, holding a National Diploma and an Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, where I was recognized as a top student 2023. I have completed a Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Honours) in Civil Engineering and also recognized as a top student in 2024, I am currently pursuing a Master of Engineering (Civil Engineering) - Structured Geotechnical at Stellenbosch University. With about 9 years of experience, I have developed expertise in geotechnical engineering, construction materials, and quality control, particularly in laboratory and field testing. As an Assistant Resident Engineer/Materials Technician, I analyze and evaluate material designs, conduct site inspections, oversee layerworks compliance, and perform acceptance control per COTO specifications. My role includes conducting pavement failure assessments, supervising site laboratory operations, and implementing quality assurance measures to maintain high engineering standards.

I have also developed CIVMAT-PRO, an advanced Excel-based program with macros designed for analyzing and controlling civil engineering materials. The program automates calculations, generates graphical summaries, and streamline reporting, enhancing efficiency and decision-making. I have trained Civil Design Engineers (CDE) staff in its use to standardize quality management processes.

My career is driven by a commitment to advancing engineering practices, problem-solving, and continuous professional development in the field of geotechnical and materials engineering.
