Summary

I am a proactive and driven postgraduate student completing an Honours BSc in Actuarial Science at the University of the Witwatersrand, with an undergraduate degree in Physics, Actuarial Science and Statistics.

I bring a strong academic background complemented by leadership experience in sports and student governance with an innate curiosity to pursue a comprehensive understanding of the world, spanning both the laws of physics and the dynamics of business.

As a former football team captain and Representative Council of Learners, I have developed excellent communication and leadership skills.

I am a product of a childhood that required me to grow up much faster than most, having spent the majority of my early years living away from my parents in Lenz, under the care of my uncles and aunts. This experience instilled in me a relentless drive and a willingness to do whatever it takes to succeed.

I am eager to contribute meaningfully to South Africa’s financial and corporate sectors by applying my analytical thinking and problem-solving skills in a professional environment.

Kidmatul Insaan
  • Company Overview: An organization dedicated to working with orphans.

  • I would often spend a Saturday volunteering at 'Kidmatul Insaan', which means 'Caring for People'.
  • We would often go to orphanages to distribute and help facilitate activities such as playing soccer, providing education or just simple cleaning.
  • It taught humility and what it means to be humble, to appreciate everything I have in this world.
  • An organization dedicated to working with orphans.

  • I have been working at Horizon Star Academy since 2021 (1st year university) as a tutor.
  • My duties included overseeing the grade 8 class for Mathematics as well as, recently, teaching grades 10, 11 and 12, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
  • It requires a great deal of responsibility with professionalism to assist students with a variety of queries, in addition to teaching new topics.
  • It is a job where patience and understanding are essential.
  • It would often challenge my ability to communicate topics in ways that would make it easier for students to comprehend.
  • I would take classes with up to 20 students, which gave me the ability to manage and be a leader, while at the same time, listening to what a student needed and understanding where they needed assistance.

Football, I played for the 1st team throughout high school and was a player for Orlando Pirates Football Academy Football was definitely a passion, but time has become very limited
Chess, A newfound hobby that I have just taken up Chess allows me to appreciate its requirement of understanding both the opponent along with the development focused concentration for periods of time
Gym, I am a frequenter of the gym; it is used as stress relief, keeping a healthy mindset and maintaining good physical health
Padel, I often spend my free time playing Padel as I find that just a simple hour every other day helps keep a balanced mind-body / work / healthy life
