For the past two and half years I have been with two hard working teams at Nexi. I have worked on two interesting projects:

Xhub: Xhub is a message validation, transformation and routing engine which facilitates the integration between internal system applications implemented at a financial institution and the central bank system.

Express: Express is a bank payment system used for data management and payments between financial institutions and the central bank system.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with team and product owner to discuss requirements for effectively and efficiently completing projects
• Work closely with the development team to create, build, and uphold dependable and
  effective code
• Work closely with Ops team on deployment, installation and configuration of software releases
• Troubleshoot and debug software applications, resolving any issues that may arise.
• Meet with the development team on a daily basis to provide project report and milestone updates.
• Peer code review and approval
• Produce clean, validation-ready code for project needs
• Mentor and guide junior developers

I had been part of a hard-working, fun-loving and a trustworthy team at WesBank. I worked on a variety of projects including:

WesBank App: A complete end to end vehicle finance platform. It allows customers the ability to easily apply and check for vehicle finance, customize their deals, manage them accordingly and sign their finance contracts. I was responsible for migrating some services from a monolithic Java EE project to SpringBoot microservices which were used on the app.

OnBoarding System: A dealer registration program to facilitate the registration and automated provisioning of access to the system for customers who register as users. I worked on this Java EE web-based system by developing the registration process which helped capture customer information.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Collaborated with project managers to select ambitious, but realistic coding milestones on software project development.
• Worked closely with software development and testing team members to design and develop robust solutions to meet business requirements for functionality, scalability and performance.
• Maintained, review and update old code bases to modern development standards, reducing operating costs and improving functionality on existing applications.
• Wrote clean, clear and well-tested code for various projects such as Finance Applications, Self Service and Onboarding basing on development standards.

• Learned software development processes and best practices.
• Supported development, QA and user experience staff to develop new products.
• Met with development team on weekly basis to provide project report and milestone updates.
• Worked closely with team lead to maintain optimum levels of communication to effectively and efficiently complete projects.
