I am a professional individual that have a firm commitment to social care, my experience is rooted in a solid-background of working with young, old, vulnerable, marginalized, oppressed and voiceless people from all backgrounds and differing life circumstances. I am able to work under pressure. However I am adaptable in any situation which comes before me. The duties that I performed was to promote good mental health, strengthen relationships, and end cycles of trauma and substance use additionally provided rehabilitative care to help people after illness or injury.

Accomplishments

  • HIV/AIDS COMMUNITY AWARNESS

I have facilitated the most successful HIV/AIDS awareness in Sebokeng, Zone 7 township. The Awareness was to educate schools and community members residing in Sebokeng about the Social attitude, Discrimination and Stigma that is attached to the virus.

On the other hand, Offering Social work services that are available to both people that are infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.


  • DRUG ABUSE COMMUNITY AWARNESS

Addressing the most burning issues on how Drug and Alcohol use among youth is directly related to traffic fatalities, violence, suicide, academic failure, unsafe sex and other high risk behaviors.


  • IMPORTANCE OF MENTAL HEALTH AWARNESS FOR YOUTH

The awareness was more about the awareness of mental health warning signs, ways to get accessible care, and methods to engage in honest conversations with loved ones which goes a long way in helping young people feel seen, respected, and loved as they navigate strong and overwhelming emotions.

It was a platformed aimed to create an environment where we can all count on each other to protect the youth in a world saturated with information and social stimulation that's difficult to filter and ignore.

Golden Key International Honor Society 


Being in the top 15% of students that excelled in the whole health faculty and based on that I was then selected and asked to join the Golden Key International Honor Society which is an esteemed society that recognizes and celebrates exceptional academic achievements. 

Members are given a life time access to a wide range of rewards, scholarships, travel, study abroad opportunities, events, and recognition for their achievements in academics, leadership and more.

Passion

My Passion stems from the profession itself, the joy, the passion and being around others who are just as devoted as me and to help better our communities. Secondly, the diversity, the love, the empowerment and being able to see and feel the changes that I make in clients that are seeking Social work services. 

On the other hand, the politics, the advocacy. The outreach to communities and the commitment to never giving up on someone. 

Equally important, the growth, the opportunities, the possibilities of change that I can make by helping those in need.
