This internship was over a period of 3 weeks during the July holidays

It consisted mostly of the following:

• Conducting site visits and sketching structural elements from sites that were seen on-site as well as doing sizing calculations for residential renovations
• Checking bending schedules with the existing installed rebar on-site
• Creating a layout of the entire water reticulation and sewer layout for a residential property
• Designing all the structural elements for a 3 storey apartment complex

This internship was over a period of 3 weeks during the December holidays.

It consisted mostly of the following:

• This required me to do load rundowns, column design, beam design, slab design and then do critical analysis
• I had to check multiple types of loadings as well such as seismic and wind loadings
• Assisted with graphical representations of civil structural designs.
• Reviewed operational costs for accuracy and budgetary compliance for pending projects.
• Provided technical documents to plan work and address concerns for on-going projects.

• Mathematics and Physical Sciences Tutor
• I tutor Mathematics (pure and literacy) as well as physical sciences to underprivileged children ranging from grade 8 to grade 12.
