1. Skills Development and Project Management:

  • Develop and implement a sector skills plan for the Province.
  • Manage learning projects, including project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Obtain budgets for identified projects and initiatives.
  • Strengthen the institutional capacity of the SSETA within the Province.

2. Stakeholder Relationship Management:

  • Implement stakeholder management strategies and plans.
  • Provide technical support to stakeholders.
  • Identify and negotiate with employers for workplace training opportunities.
  • Support skills development in informal sector cooperatives and income-generating initiatives.
  • Represent SSETA in Provincial structures and forums.

3. Education and Outreach:

  • Educate stakeholders about SSETA policies (accreditation, grant funding, training, etc.).
  • Conduct workshops to inform people about various programs (WSP, ATR, PTP, PTS).
  • Explain how to access internships, learnerships, and grant funding.
