• As a junior lecturer at the University of South Africa (UNISA), I was responsible for teaching courses in the Law of Evidence and supporting the academic activities within the department

As a Student Research Assistant, my primary responsibility was to support students in improving their academic writing skills and refining their dissertations. This role involves:

• Assessing Claims: I would review and evaluate claims submitted to the Road Accident Fund, analyzing the circumstances of the accident, the extent of injuries or damages, and the eligibility of the claimant for compensation
• I would meet with clients to discuss their legal rights, explain the claims process, and provide guidance on the steps involved in pursuing a claim against the Road Accident Fund
• Conducting legal research to identify relevant statutes, regulations, and case law governing road accident claims, as well as staying updated on changes in legislation or legal precedent that may impact the handling of RAF matters
• Gathering and organizing documentation and evidence to support the claim, including medical records, police reports, witness statements, and other relevant information
