• Intern (Student) Medical Laboratory Scientist in the Clinical Pathology specialty which encompasses: Chemical Pathology, Haematological Pathology with basic Immunohaematology, Medical Microbiology, Molecular Biology & Serology.

• Assists students, especially the 1st year students, in navigating campus life
• Make any and all relevant recommendations and referrals on behalf of the student.
• Served as a role model for fellow students, demonstrating effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Provided guidance to peers on academic and personal matters, promoting overall wellbeing.
• Conducted regular check-ins with mentees to monitor progress towards achieving their goals and to address any concerns or challenges faced along the way.

• Record and prepare minutes of each meeting and distribute to the chapter members
• Prepare and distribute member recognition event invitations to honorary members, administration, and faculty
• Ensure the advisor and officer profile forms of new advisors and officers are sent
• Draft and distribute any chapter correspondence to chapter members, university administrators and faculty, honorary members, alumni, and campus student organizations
• This includes the promotion of all chapter events
• Draft the chapter newsletter once per term/semester
• Organize chapter documentation for future reference e.g training material and contact information.

• Act as a bridge between the entire class and the lecturers
• Liaise with the lecturers and biomedical science staff on behalf of the student
• Submit class objections, complaints, and suggestions regarding academic resource material
