As a Financial Manager in my previous two jobs, I was responsible for the entire financial management function of a unit. I have considerable budgeting, costing and management accounting experience gained in a mining and research/manufacturing environments. Pendusa Ulwazi granted me the opportunity to operate at an executive level responsible for both finances and operations. I had highly experienced mine managers reporting into me and had great exposure into how to run operations. The exposure I have gained over the past few years has enabled me to operate and participate with ease at a senior management and strategic levels. I have practical internal auditing experience and have applied the King IV Report and the risk-based approach to auditing. I always strive to make a lasting impact by translating operations and financial data and information into effective tools for decision-making and strategy formulation and implementation. I am married with three children and was born and bred in South Africa. I am a versatile and charismatic communicator and am proficient in the following languages: Sesotho, English, Afrikaans, Setswana, isiXhosa, Sepedi and isiZulu. My leadership skills and ability to take people along has been demonstrated many times as I am the founder and non-executive director of a few companies, some incorporated in South Africa and the other two in Zimbabwe. All these companies’ vision is to engage in small scale mining in Southern Africa. These ventures have rekindled the entrepreneurial spirit, commercial prowess and business leadership which I have cultivated throughout my working career. The fact that I am a master’s graduate with the degree of Master of Business Leadership (MBL) through the University of South Africa (UNISA) has capacitated me to be able to strategically lead any organisation or entity towards the attainment of its mission and vision. I possess strategic leadership skills to lead and change organisations. I always strive to make a lasting impact by translating financial data and information into effective tools for decision-making and strategy formulation and implementation. I believe strongly in the development and empowerment of employees. The transfer of knowledge and the achievement of results with and through others are central to my modus operandi. Thank you for taking the time to review my application. Certified copies of my certificates are available on request.
