Summary

I would describe myself as someone who is resourceful, as someone who takes ownership of any challenges and problem that i come across with. I would also describe myself as a good communicator and listener. So when i speak to people I always ask them questions, to establish their needs and listen to what they have to say. Thirdly, I would also describe myself as a perfectionist and an all rounder, as someone who can turn his hands to almost any thing, But if I don't know how o do something, I would find a way to do it and then complete it to the best of my ability. Fourthly, i would also describe myself as a good problem solver, as someone who would try to solve issues instead of shying away from them or passing them to others. Fifthly, i would describe myself as a strong planner and organiser of my work and i can priorities my work accordingly.

I would also describe myself as an excellent team worker, as someone who is supportive of his co-workers, when they execute their duties. Then lastly, I am the type of a person who has a good track record of being punctual. And outside of work I keep myself physically fit and healthy, which means that my concentration and energy levels are always high whenever I am doing my work. Then finally, I would describe myself as a professional, as someone who can be left alone to do all his work to the expected standard, without having been constantly reminded.

Work History

Internship

Department of Employment and Labour
08.2025 - Current
  • One of my key duties is to be responsible for conducting Pro Active and Administrative Inspections, as well as the Reactive Inspections.
  • Secondly, I would conduct investigations to all the different companies that I come across with, to check if they do comply with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act.
  • Thirdly, if while im conducting Investigations I find out, that there is a contravention with the Basic Condition of Employment Act, then i would draft an Undertaking and as well as an Compliance order. And finally a Confirmatory notice in the case of non compliance.
  • This means that, im doing the Proactive as well as the Reactive Inspections im also enforcing the law. By doing the calculations and drafting the compliance order's and referrals.
  • Then lastly, im able to conduct advocacy sessions, because most of the time I spent it with my clients and their employers. And I have found out that most of the complaints and employers are not aware or they are not informed about the Basic Conditions of the Employment Act. So when I have time I always inform them and as well educate them about the Act.
