
Stephen is currently retired and is looking for gainful employment, as he is still healthy and strong enough to work and contribute with his years of experience and knowledge. He has more than 25 years direct HR experience from officer to board level. Stephen holds an MBA and BA Psychology from the University of Stellenbosch and is a member of the Association of Project Management (IT Projects) and has extensive Human Resource and Development (HR&D) experience in management and internal consulting capacity in mining, fishing, timber and textile industries. In addition to his native English, he is fluent in Afrikaans. Stephen has international business management consulting experience with over 20 years in the mining industry primarily in the areas of business process improvement and major change management within large mining companies. Stephen's consulting experience has been successfully applied throughout all areas of operations throughout the full mining value chain on four continents. Stephen's strong analytical and interpersonal skills supported by a very good understanding of the mining value chain and successful organisation behaviour have enabled consistent delivery of business value add in both simple and complex change programmes in diverse cultural environments. A strong team and individual developer with well-developed leadership skills, Stephen has had extensive exposure to all levels in the organisations he worked with. Throughout his consulting career, he had to guide clients to challenge their existing business processes to optimise their business performance. At the basis of this has been that Stephen understands the integrated nature of the factors that lead to organisational success.
