A 4×4 event is basically a big get-together for people who love driving off-road vehicles — the kind with power going to all four wheels. Picture a bunch of bakkies, SUVs, and custom rigs tackling rough trails, steep hills, mud pits, and sometimes even rock climbs. It’s part skill, part adventure, and part showing off what your vehicle can do. Usually, there’s a mix of competitive challenges and just cruising through scenic but tough terrain with other enthusiasts. It’s as much about the fun and the atmosphere as it is about the driving. (This is one of my core memories with my father)
